It looks like the televised wedding on Bachelor in Paradise between Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul was fake.

The couple got married on the season premiere of the Bachelor In Paradise but according to TMZ, the marriage was a fake and the only thing that may have happened was it increased the ratings for the reality television series.

Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd met and fell in love during the first season of Bachelor in Paradise. They became a couple on the first day of the show and dated throughout the season, getting engaged on the season finale. The couple have dated for the past year and while they may have said the vows among family and the current cast of Bachelor in Paradise, there is nothing legally binding about the wedding.

According to TMZ, the couple doesn’t have a marriage license in either Mexico or the U.S. The couple are currently living apart and there are no plans for a wedding anytime soon, since Marcus is currently away for Coast Guard training.

Lacy appeared on Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise, where she continued the alleged charade, saying she was married to Marcus and she was now a military wife.

One thing is for sure, the couple looked like they are in love. Lacy’s father walked her down the aisle, the wedding gown was beautiful and they brought the family to Mexico to witness the wedding. Would they go to all the effort of pretending to be married and bring their parents in to witness the union if they weren’t really married?

Do you think the couple are legally married and this is just a mistake or do you think the couple will ever get married?

We have reached out to ABC and Chris Harrison and will keep you posted.
