The sudden death of 13 year old You Tube star, Caleb Logan Bratayley, has rocked the internet – and for good reason.
Caleb Logan Bratayley is part of the popular YouTube reality family, who has amassed more than one billion views since 2010. With a vague statement saying the reality teen died from ‘natural causes’ has left millions of people wondering – ‘how is that even possible?’ He seemed healthy. There was no mention of a serious illness, so how did a 13 year old seemingly healthy boy did suddenly?
The family released a statement on their Instagram account, as well as on their YouTube channel saying,
“Yesterday at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son. We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato.”
The outpouring of grief since his mother announced the passing of her son, has amassed more than 200,000 comments with fans expressing their sadness and disbelief over the sudden death of Caleb.
While the statement let everyone know Caleb had passed away, the lack of explanation of ‘natural causes’ has fueled rumors as to what really happened. The term ‘natural causes’ usually refers to older people. The Bratayley family are seeking privacy for the first time since vlogging their lives on a daily basis since 2010.
