Saturday Night Live, best known for their comedy and funny take on celebrities, politics and anything else that is a popular topic in the news, began the show on Saturday, November 14, 2015 on a serious note.
Instead of the usual political cold open, Cecily Strong opened the show by saying,
“Paris is the City of Light, and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you.”
Strong, who delivered the message of support in English, and then in French, made the brief speech with a shaky voice.
