Raven-Symone was just named the new co-host of the ABC chat fest “The View” and now she is speaking out as to whom she would like to join her on the show. On the panel, we have Symone, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez; no word if a fifth member will be added. The former Cheetah Girl and “That’s So Raven” star has been up and down about her personal life, not confirming her sexuality but giving hints that she may have a girlfriend. She was super excited when gay marriage became legal so it would make sense that she would want Caitlyn Jenner on the show with her. Raven has nothing but positive things to say about the former Olympian Bruce Jenner who publicly transitioned into Caitlyn Jenner, making her grand reveal on the cover of Vanity Fair.
Caitlyn will also star in a reality show on E! towards the end of July and will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY’s, something some feel is inappropriate. So, what is the appeal of Caitlyn Jenner to twenty-nine year old Raven-Symone? “I think Caitlyn Jenner is a very brave woman. I think she has done a lot of things that will inspire many other people in the world to journey down their truth path…and I’m sure she would love us!” Caitlyn also identifies herself with the Republican Party so I am sure she and Nicolle Wallace would have a great deal to talk about.
Raven has been very supportive of Caitlyn as well as Miley Cyrus, who declared that she loves men and women the same. Both are very hard core into not labeling people because, as Raven told Oprah: “I want to be labeled ‘a human who loves humans.'” She added to that on “The View” by saying: “…we should not be labeled, because that creates tension between people…Let’s just be human and call it a day!” I think that Caitlyn Jenner would not only be a great guest but also an amazing guest co-host, if the opportunity presented itself.
