Kim Zolciak gave her Dancing With the Stars fans quite a scare when she suffered a mini-stroke in Atlanta following her appearance on the hit reality dancing series.
Zolciak appeared on Dancing With the Stars on Monday and Tuesday, before heading home to Atlanta. She suffered a mini-stroke (also known as a TIA) in her home, unable to speak, and was brought to the hospital where it was discovered the Real Housewife of Atlanta star had a mini-stroke. She was sent home two days later, but returned to the hospital, where they discovered a hidden heart condition. She was released from the hospital and has since made a statement regarding her future on Dancing With the Stars.
“I want to thank everyone for their love and support over the past few days. I am now home with my family, resting and taking care of my health. I can’t express enough how much I love dancing and this whole experience, and I hope this will not be the end of dancing.”
There is a good chance Kim will not appear on Dancing With the Stars on tonight’s episode, September 28, 2015, where we will see the contestants perform dances from their favorite television shows. We have the preview of Dancing With the Stars Television Themed episode here!
Following a TIA you need to receive medical clearance before getting on a plane. At the earliest, you will be allowed to fly 10 days after your TIA. However, you can only fly with your doctor’s permission and only if you have made a full recovery. Needless to say, it has been less than a week since Kim suffered from her TIA, so flying could put her health at risk. Will Kim Zolciak take that risk? Or will she stay home and continue resting and attempt Dancing With the Stars at a later date?
